Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance to employees on their rights and options regarding workplace issues such as unfair dismissal, redundancy, TUPE, harassment, discrimination, performance management disputes, wrongful termination, and more
  • Review case details and conduct thorough research to build strong advocacy plans for each employee
  • Manage sensitive investigations into grievances, discrimination claims, whistleblowing, capability cases, etc...
  • Develop persuasive arguments and write appeal letters, severance proposals, and settlement agreements
  • Act as an empathetic, compassionate listener offering support and perspective
  • Provide ongoing support and advice to employees throughout lengthy investigation or arbitration processes
  • Track each case progress and identify opportunities to proactively advance employees' goals
  • Collaborate with team members to continue improving our advocacy services and outcomes
  • Achieve monthly service objectives
  • Qualify the customer needs
  • Negotiate and contract

Must Have

  • 10+ years experience in UK employee relations and employment law application
  • Deep knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice
  • Experience managing UK workplace investigations and disciplinary processes
  • Experience representing employers at UK employment tribunals
  • Strong research, conflict resolution, writing, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence
  • Passion for employee empowerment and workplace justice & fairness
  • Ability to support employees with empathy while advocating for the best resolution
  • Highly creative and autonomous
  • Valid work permit for the United Kingdom

Nice to have

  • CIPD Level 7 or similar degree
  • A proactive , resolution-driven mindset
  • A flexible, adaptable approach , comfortable with the ambiguous
